Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-08-30

This document sets out the basic terms and operating standards for using Worldis("the site"). For privacy matters, see the Privacy Policy.

1. Purpose

These terms govern the use of the news summary and curation service (the "service") provided by the site, and the rights and responsibilities of users and the operator. By using the site, you are deemed to have agreed to these terms.

2. Nature of the service

  • The site publishes summaries of domestic and international stories selected and written directly by the operator. Anyone may read the site without registration.
  • Where a source is cited, the original article at that source takes precedence; our summaries are reference material to aid understanding.
  • Features and structure of the service may change or be discontinued as operationally necessary.

3. Content and intellectual property

  • Rights to summaries and editorial content written by the operator belong to the operator.
  • Rights to quoted articles, images, and other source material belong to their respective owners.
  • Content on the site may not be copied, redistributed, republished, or used commercially without the operator's prior consent.
  • If you believe your work has been infringed, please notify the operator and we will review and take necessary action without delay.

4. External links and third-party services

  • The site may contain links to external sites.
  • To operate the service and cover its costs, the site may use third-party services such as advertising (Google AdSense). Interactions with ads or external sites are governed by each provider's policies.
  • Responsibility for the content, availability, and safety of external links lies first with those sites; the operator assumes no direct responsibility for them.

5. Prohibited conduct

  • Automated access, crawling, or scripting that places excessive load on the service
  • Bulk collection or redistribution of the site's content without permission
  • Interfering with the normal operation of the service or attempting to exploit security vulnerabilities
  • Any other conduct that violates applicable law

6. Changes to or suspension of the service

The operator may change or discontinue all or part of the service without prior notice for reasons such as improvements, maintenance, security response, or policy changes. Unless otherwise required by law, no compensation is provided for changes to or discontinuation of features offered free of charge.

7. Disclaimer

  • The operator does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of published information and is not liable for damages arising from its use.
  • Information on the service is for reference only and must not be relied upon for investment, legal, medical, or other important decisions.
  • The operator is not liable for damages caused by events beyond its reasonable control, such as natural disasters, system failures, or failures of external services.

8. Changes to these terms

The operator may revise these terms as operationally necessary or when applicable law changes. Changes will be announced on this page, and continued use after an announcement constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
